English Meaning
"O, God Kantharperumān [who abides in Thiruccenthūr], Brahmā, who is seated on the best of all flowers, namely, the red lotus flower, the ancient divine Vedas of abstruse prosody, the nāda and the nādānta philosophy, as well as the faultless knowledge of those mortals, who are free of the blemish of the result of their former deeds, are unable to perceive you in the form of Real Knowledge.
You are in the form of eternal bliss [sat-cit-ānantham] of Real Knowledge, transcending the beginning [creation], the middle [preservation] and the end [dissolution];
you are in the form of supremely effulgent flame, naturally free of bondage;
you are the omnipresent Supreme Being [Paramacivam] without any given (or imagined) name, characteristic, or form;
you are the most auspicious Supreme Knowledge, which is unattainable by any other knowledge [of merely ephemeral kind] within the frontier of empirical time;
you are beyond the five-fold divine function [creation, preservation, concealment, bestowal of grace and dissolution];
you are beyond the reach of various internal instruments [such as the mind, language, and body];
you, who are in the form of Eternal Bliss, are capable of assuming of five-fold sacred forms [of Brahmā, Vishṇu, Rudra, Mahēshvara, Sadāshiva];
you are the eternal and incomparable Real Supreme Being, providing shelter of support to all beings;
you are of un-diminishing perfection;
you are eternal;
you are the unique Supreme Being, that knows of no death, birth, attachment, or any reason for birth;
you are like an illusionist, who performs an illusory trick, with which the minds of all the spectators are entranced, though the illusionist himself is not likewise entranced with the illusion created by him;
you have no primordial source of origin; and you are the source of all things;
you have no other form except the sacred form of gracious compassion;
you are the Supreme Being, having the power of motivation [iccā-cakthi], the power of wisdom [ñāna-cakthi], and the power of action [kiriyā-cakthi] to carry out the three-fold tasks of creation, maintenance, and dissolution; you are the incomparable one, having form [uruvam (Mahēshan, Thirumāl)], formlessness [aruvam, Shivam, Shakthi], and also form with formlessness [uruvaruvam, Sadāshivam], and is thus capable of assuming various sacred forms, bestowing grace on all beings in accordance with their respective spiritual merits …"
