மங்கை சிலம்பின் மணிஒன்பதில் தோன்றும்
துங்கமடவார் துயர்தீர்ந்து - தங்கள்விருப்பால் அளித்த நவவீருக்குள் முன்னோன்
மருப்பாயும் தார்வீரவாகு - நெருப்பில் உதித்துஅங்கட் புவனம் அனைத்தும் அழித்துலவும்
செங்கட் கிடாயதனைச் சென்று கொணர்ந்து - எங்கோன்விடுக்குதி என்று உய்ப்ப அதன்மீதுஏறி எண்திக்கும்
நடத்தி விளையாடும் நாதா! - படைப்போன்அகந்தை உரைப்ப மறையாதி எழுத்தென்று
உகந்த பிரணவத்தின் உண்மை - புகன்றிலையால்சிட்டித் தொழிலதனைச் செய்வதென்உங்ஙன் என்றுமுனம்

English Meaning
"Vīravāku was the foremost of the nine heroes, begotten by the nine women, who had appeared from the nine jewels of the anklet, worn by the goddess Umāthēvi of melodious speech;
he seized the red-eyed ram, which had appeared from the sage Nāratharā's sacrificial fire and wandered around by destroying the beautiful world, and brought it to you, and beseeched you to ride on the ram.
You are the Supreme Being, who rode on the ram in all eight directions of the universe and played!
You cuffed on the head of Brahmā, who had claimed rather arrogantly that he was the creator, and imprisoned him, by saying that, as he did not know the real meaning of the praṇava mantra, he was not qualified for the task of creation; and
you explained the significance of the praṇava in the presence of Lord Civaperumān, whose matted hair is adorned with koṉṟai-flowers.
